Welcome to Temasek Independent School
Temasek Independent School (TIS) was founded in 2006 by local Indonesians who were concerned about the quality of education in Indonesia. The aim was to build a school that was rooted in Indonesia, but which has international standards and reach.

TIS currently offers: Pre School for children from the age of 3 to 6 using the Montessori Method, Primary School for children from ages 6 to 12 – using the Cambridge International Primary School Programme and a 6-year programme that prepares students for the GCE ‘O'(ordinary) level/IGCSE examinations and “A” Level Examinations from Cambridge International Examination Syndicate,UK.

We take pride in our Integrated Learning Program where students are exposed to higher order thinking skills. The programme requires our children to participate in a problem solving exercise focusing on one of the core areas of the United Nations Development Plan. Students analyze, research, synthesize and present solutions to real world problems in the community. The school is also part of the UNESCO Associated School Program Network (ASPNet).

At TIS, we focus on nurturing our students to learn how to learn and to learn how to live so that they can be empowered to grow into a person of integrity . We are focused on helping students to become life long learners.

We are a fully authorized test centre from the University of Cambridge UK. We are also registered with the Indonesian authorities and received an “A” Grade in the Accreditation exercise by BNSP (Badan Nasional Standar Pendidikan).

Primary Students graduate with both the Ujian Nasional Certificate as well as the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Certificate. Secondary Students who successfully pass the examinations will receive an internationally approved and recognized certificate which will provide a ready avenue to higher educational opportunities. Students will also graduate with the relevant Indonesian certificates after the UNBK (Ujian Nasional Berbasis Komputer).
