Primary School Programme

Temasek Primary School was established in 2008 as an extension of the already existing Temasek Independent School. At Primary School, we strive to create a school where students enjoy learning, teachers are passionate to teach, and parents are proud and involved in children’s growth and development. We believe Temasek is ‘Gathering of Stars’ of students, teachers, and parents.

We offer a blended programme of Pearson Edexcel iPrimary Curriculum and Kurikulum Merdeka. Our curriculum ensures that students meet the required standards to two paths; the entry to Indonesian Middle School (SMP) or further progression to schools that cater to the Pearson Edexcel GCSEs (General Certificates of Secondary Education) level. iPrimary prepares students to progress to the iLowerSecondary programme from age 11, which is specifically designed to prepare students for International GCSE..

Pearson Edexcel iPrimary is a complete programme for use in International Primary Schools for English, Mathematics, Science, Computing and Global Citizenship, for children aged
3 to 11. As for the requirements of Ministry of Education, our national curriculum consists of Bahasa Indonesia, Social Studies, Civics, Character Building, Sports, Religious Studies, Computer and Art.

    Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer (Grade 5)

Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer (ANBK) is a program to assess the quality of each school at the primary and secondary levels in Indonesia that are conducted by The Department of Education. The subjects are reading and mathematics literacy.

     Pearson Examinations

iPrimary comes with a wealth of support with sample schemes of work, exemplified units of work, internally assessed progress tests, externally assessed achievement tests and a comprehensive professional development programme – all supported by world-renowned Pearson print and digital published resources. It provides structure if you need it, flexibility if you don’t.

Integrated Learning Programme (ILP) is an activity that supports students to create projects by doing observation and research to a particular location. It integrates some subjects such as Global Citizenship, Social Studies, and Science. By this programme, students will also have fieldtrip. Field Trip is to help students interact with what they are learning and provide learning opportunity for students to see and participate beyond reading.

Besides that, we also have Extra Curricular Activities that are changed every year, depend on students’ interest and availability :

The school employs experienced graduate teachers from universities in Indonesia with several teachers holding degrees from abroad. In addition, Temasek Independent School continues to upgrade the quality of teachers and staff by providing weekly internal training.
